The transmitter IR 24 measures carbon dioxide with the accuracy of infrared light. The infrared detection principle is unambiguous and selective. This means that no other gas than carbon dioxide influences the measurement result. False alarms are thereby avoided. A special electronic assures the display accuracy even at temperature changes.

The IR 24 has no moveable parts that can wear out, thereby guaranteeing a long life and low maintenance effort. The cell and the electronic are surrounded by a stable casing that is designed in protection class IP 54, which protects it against splashing water in humid surroundings.

The transmitter has a potentiometer and measurement contacts for easy adjustment of zero point and sensitivity. The transmitter can be calibrated on-site, which further cuts down the maintenance time.

The IR 24 gets calibrated before shipment. It only needs a short re-adjustment when putting it into operation.
