With the Ethernet adapter you can access the MK-III computer interface via an
Ethernet network.
MK-III computer interface serial data is converted into TCP/IP data packets and sent across a LAN,WAN network or the internet. By loading a virtual serial port driver on the destination computer you get a serial port access to the remote computer interface.
Weatherview32, Virtual Weather station or Terminal Emulator software such as HyperTerminal, can be used with the Ethernet adapter.
If you have a static IP address, you can even access the MK-III computer interface over the Internet. Please be aware that this can present a security risk if the Ethernet adapter and your firewall are not configured correctly.
