RA-915F

RA-915F is a streamlined benchtop mercury analyzer designed for fast direct analysis of all kinds of solid, liquid, and biological samples, starting from ppb level.

Operating this instrument does not require the use of reagents nor compressed gases. The compact design also makes RA-915F ideal for mobile laboratories.

RA-915F offers accurate, reliable, and cost-effective Hg measurements through direct thermal decomposition in the broadest range of applications. With RA-915F, even complex-matrix samples are analyzed ‘as is’ without the need of pre-treatment.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

Direct thermal decomposition followed by atomic absorption spectrometry at 254 nm wavelength with Zeeman correction for background absorption makes interference-free measurements easy and quick. It provides the most selective and sensitive analysis without matrix effects.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

  • Fast direct analysis of solids, liquids, and biosamples
  • Low limit of detection and highest selectivity due to Zeeman background correction
  • The unique real-time feedback system for sample decomposition control extends the dynamic range and eliminates background interferences
  • Broad measurement range: more than 5 orders of magnitude
  • No need for sample pretreatment and reagents reduces analysis cost
  • Safe and simple running: no compressed gases (oxygen or argon), air is used as a carrier gas
  • No pre-concentration on gold traps increases analysis speed and reduces exploitation complexity
  • No memory effect: a sample with low mercury concentration can be analyzed immediately after a high mercury sample
  • Programmable furnace for optimal sample decomposition and mercury thermospeciation study
  • Compact size: possibility to use in mobile laboratory

APPLICATIONS

RA-915F mercury analyzer is used for the direct determination of mercury concentration in:

  • soils, sediments;
  • rocks, ores, minerals;
  • crude oil, oil products, naphtha, petrochemicals;
  • coal, coke, fly ash, gypsum;
  • sorbent traps for stack gases;
  • passive air samplers;
  • waste waters, wastes, sludge;
  • food, nutritional additives, animal feedstuff;
  • biosamples: tissues, hair, urine, blood, etc.;
  • drugs and cosmetics;
  • plastics, fertilizers, and many other materials.

Direct thermal decomposition technique meets national and globally accepted standards such as ASTM D6722, D7622, EN/TS 17286, US EPA 7473, 30B, PS12B, SN/T 4429.2-2016, HJ 923-2017, and others.
