Coriolis Mass
Home | Coriolis MassCoriolis Mass
Our Coriolis Mass Flowmeter series MCM is a mass flowmeter ,
that directly measures the mass flow, density, and temperature (volume flow estimated) of liquids, slurries, and multi-phase liquids without the need for a computation dependent on other factors.
The mass flow sensing element consists of two bent tubes, vibrators, and displacement sensors. The trick is to identify the Coriolis force exerted on the tube by the flowing fluid within the bent oscillation tube. The vibrators vibrate the bent tubes at their natural frequency. When there is a flow inside the tubes, the Coriolis force distorts their vibration. This distortion can be quantified with displacement sensors. The amount of distortion is related to the mass flow of liquid within the tube. By precisely computing the displacement, the mass flow can be immediately detected.
Liquids, slurries, and multiphase (liquid mixed with air bubbles or solids) are all measurable. It has excellent noise immunity, great precision, a broad turndown ratio, and is stable and reliable. The simplistic design enables for easy installation, operation, and maintenance. It contains no moving parts. It also does not require any specific installation equipment or flow profile stabilisation, which means no straightener or straight pipe portions are required upstream or downstream. The wetted pieces are constructed of stainless steel, thus they can be utilised with corrosive substances.
