When you decided a gas detector tube
for the target gas, prepare the gas detector tubes and break off both
ends of tips by using the built in tip breaker or Tip Holder (No.721).
B.
Confirm the pump handle is fully pushed in. Then
insert the detector tube into the rubber inlet of the Pump with the
arrow (>) on the tube pointing toward the pump.
C.
Align the guide mark (red line) on the back pale
and the guide mark (>100 or >50 depending on the detector tube)
on the handle.
D.
Direct the tube end to the point of measurement
and pull out the handle fully (for 100ml sampling) or halfway (for
50ml sampling) along the guide line to the lock.
E.
Wait until the sampling time has elapsed. The completion
of the sampling of 100ml or 50ml can be confirmed by the flow finish
indicator on the handle.
F.
Read the color change
Hints for detector tube
reading:
When the end of the color change layer is flat,
read the value at the end of the layer. In this example, the reading
should be 5%.
When the end of the color change layer is slanted,
read the value in the middle of the slant. In this exaggerated example,
the reading should be 5%.
When the demarcation of the color change layer is
pale, read the value in the middle between the dark layer end and
the pale layer end. In this exaggerated example, the reading should
be 5%.
If you marked the color change with a pen as soon
as finished the sampling, it should be more convenient.
