In many areas gases are used as technical
production aid. The gases are stored, transported or accumulate as
waste product. Often these gases are toxic (poisonous) and therefore
can cause a problem. Most toxic gases can not be detected by the human
senses. The smallest concentrations can cause acute poisoning or long
term health problems.
The values TLV ( Threshold limit value) and TGC ( Technical guideline
concentration) provide guidelines about the highest gas concentrations
that people in the work place can be exposed to. Supervision by the
Supervisory Board but also the personal responsibility for the people
requires a continuous monitoring of toxic gases.
A fixed gas warning devise of GfG guarentees, around the clock, the
early detection of gas dangers. A fixed gas warning devise consists
of a gas transmitter and a controller (GMA) which is connected to
each other by a measuring cable |
