Unburned Carbon Online Analyser (UBC-2400)

The Unburned Carbon Online Analyser 2400 (UBC-2400) offers operators with automatic and continuous online data on the amount of unburned carbon (UBC) in post-combustion fly ash, as well as physical samples for laboratory testing.

The UBC-2400 uses microwave technology, which is ideal for power plants that burn coal with a wide range of characteristics due to sourcing from diverse coal mines.

The UBC-2400 can be installed in the flue gas duct near the combustion zone, allowing burn-out efficiency data to be accessed immediately in the boiler control room. In addition to continuous measurement, the UBC-2400 may direct a physical sample into a container for lab testing.

The UBC-2400 varies from the UBC-2200 in that it uses newly developed dual cell technology (reference chamber), which allows for high precision in UBC levels. Furthermore, dual cell technology eliminates the need for temperature regulation and an air conditioning unit.

The UBC-2400 can also be installed in the hopper and uses a separate extraction method.
