Eccentricity Tester
Home | Eccentricity TesterEccentricity Tester
The Eccentricity Tester (ET) is used to determine the eccentricity of sockets welded into transport pipes. This is essential to prevent the Pulverised Fuel Sampler PFS/PFSA from becoming trapped on the inside wall of the transport pipe when sampling. The ET test determines whether the space inside the transport pipe is sufficient for a complete rotation of the PFS/PFSA.
To prevent the PFS and PFS-A-SL from becoming stuck on the inside wall of the fuel pipe during sampling, the free area for rotation within the fuel pipe must be verified. The equipment essentially tests the eccentricity of the sockets welded onto the fuel pipelines.
The tool's head is inserted through the socket and into the fuel pipe, ending at the opposite inner wall. Turn the little handle at the lance's rear end to spin the arm. When a full rotation is performed, you have demonstrated that the Dustlees Connection installation is accurate enough to allow free rotation of the PFS and PFS-A-SL.
