Application and function
The condensate detector KM 2 is a highly sensitive system for condensate
monitoring in measuring gases of continuous emission monitoring systems.
Thereby the exhaust gas is monitored for condensate after the measuring
gas cooler.
The condensate could damage the analyser being subsequent in the measuring
gas way (e.g. defective measuring cuvettes, defective measuring gas
pumps,...). In order to protect the high-quality measuring technology
in these emission monitoring systems the measuring gas pump can be
switched off by means of the condensate detector in case of arising
condensate. For the a potential-free contact is switched in the condensate
detector KM 2.
The function of the condensate detector KM 2 is based on the measurement
of the conductivity, that means this function is only given in case
of conductive gases. The sensor is designed as plug-in sensor with
an outer diameter of 6 mm and can be integrated in the gas ways of
analysers by means of suitable T-pieces.
