Application and function
The sampling system ESS 01 is based on the principle of negative pressure
sampling. For this a sampling probe is integrated in an injector which
is operated by a blower. In the measuring gas way of the probe there
is a 1”-connection for a common probe of the PFM-series (with
modified probe length) planned. At this point of the probe a constant
flow of the gas to be measured exists independent from the velocity
of the measuring gas. So the disadvantage of the triboelectric dust
measurement – the dependence of the sensor signal on the exhaust
gas velocity – is compensated. Moreover it is possible to measure
the dust content behind ESP with triboelectric measuring devices by
means of this sampling system. Eventually existing droplets in the
exhaust gas are mostly vapourised due to the heating so that condensation
in the sampling system do not occur.
Optionally the ESS 01 is equipped with a flow monitoring. So a deviation
of the flow sucked off from the target value (e.g. by soiling)within
adjustable tolerances is signalised by a potential-free change-over
contact.
